Matthew 23:10 – “you have one teacher, the Christ.”
JESUS clearly tells us that he is the only teacher. What do we understand by this? There are two things that we need to specifically pinpoint. God’s will for our lives is determined by JESUS’s authority. The second notification we need to do is that we are in this world and there needs to be applicability of wisdom that comes from JESUS and he teaches how to live and deliver in this world.

So what is it that we need to do?
We need to make JESUS our role model:  Jesus said – “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me” – Matthew 11:29. Jesus’ life is the pattern for our lives. Jesus as our teacher gives us many examples of how our lives should be lead. Be it living humbly or how we should be serving GOD our FATHER. Putting aside worldly desires or not giving heed to our pride, not having a lust for flesh or for possessions of the world, JESUS leads as example.

We are to obey Jesus’ teaching. Jesus asked, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” – Luke 6:46. Can you hear the confusion in this? If I’m your Lord, why don’t you listen to me?? Something is wrong here. These things don’t add up. If you claim Jesus as Lord then you must obey him. Jesus also said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” – John 14:15. If we claim to love JESUS as our Lord, we have to obey him and if we are disobedient we don’t really love him, it’s just lip service. No matter what your feelings about Jesus might be. In both of these verses it is clear that Jesus demands that we obey him.

We need to learn what Jesus teach us. Jesus became human in order to show us the way. Yet we put so little effort into understanding what he showed us. We need to work hard to understand what Jesus teaches for our own lives and for other’s. Jesus is our teacher – Jesus is the revelation of God. Practicing what JESUS has taught us is trivial to our living.
He is given us solutions for practical living
He has given us all we need to know about how to walk in obedience and find peace in time of need.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, - Mathew 28:19
JESUS CHRIST gave us a commission to not just spread the good news to the lost and needy, yes, it is of grave importance that the gospel be preached and people know about the Salvation of JESUS CHRIST, which is a free gift to the world. There is also an additional responsibility of all believers who have received this salvation to be continually learning of Him and to be teachers as we grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the WORD! Our Christian lives do not stop at just proclaiming the gospel, it is to be studied, implied and taught. Our teacher JESUS implies that we follow his path and become teacher’s ourselves.
