JESUS said "Behold, i give you the authority.... Luke 10:19

The greatest love ever displayed is that the love of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The greatest display of love was when Jesus laid down His life for His friends and His enemies because He loved them both. To Love is not easy, it challenges us at various levels. Love demands of us that we give up our time, money, our conveniences etc. Love requires sacrifice. Love has a price. And it is that very price that JESUS has paid.

Jesus is the full expression of God’s love and that is something we experience and understand.
JESUS had a mission and that which he was on he knew of the challenges that were coming his way to deter Him from reaching His objectives. But He overcame evil with good, he overcame evil with love. Love was his weapon and in every situation he portrayed love. If there is a problem, there is always a solution and to every problem, love finds a way to the solution. If one is sad, love finds joy, if one is weary, love finds strength in time of need. Love will always make a way where there seems to be no way!  Love ushers in a supernatural endowment of God’s wisdom when we have exhausted all human ideas. Where there is worldly intelligence, love will overcome and sceptics will no longer fight it out using practicality. JESUS knew that love is one way to victory!

GOD is love and whoever lives in GOD, lives in love and GOD in Him. JESUS lived in his FATHER and depended on his Father’s love to get Him through any challenge. One day as Jesus and the disciples were sailing on the Sea of Galilee, a fierce storm swamped the boat and they suddenly in great danger. The disciples woke Jesus saying, "Master, Master, we’re going to drown!" He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters and all was immediately calm. ‘Where is your faith?’ he asked his disciples. (Luke 8:24,25) We have to express our faith in GOD, just like JESUS expressed in his Father, when we do so we are secure and nothing shakes us.

Jesus was never indecisive in His actions because love guided him. He always had clarity of thought and action.  One day the soldiers came to arrest Jesus. Simon Peter, drew his sword and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?""(John 18:10, 11) Do not give in to the temptation to over react in the face of heated opposition. We too like JESUS need love to flow through us, to keep your head cool when others tend to lose control of their own thinking.

Jesus’s love empowers us to keep our emotions under control, we are slow to anger and not quick in reacting. We don’t keep ill feelings in our hearts, we no longer intend to make enemies or foster feelings that maintain enmity with people. While Jesus was speaking, Judas Iscariot arrived with a crowd armed with clubs and swords, sent from the chief priests to arrest Jesus. Judas, the betrayer had arranged a signal with the crowd to signal which one to apprehend. Going at once to Jesus, Judas said to Jesus, "Greetings, Rabbi!" and kissed Him. Jesus replied, "Friend, do what you came for." (Matt. 26:48-50) Here it was love in JESUS that was kind to Judas despite of his known betrayal!

Jesus showed His power through love. There is power in the love of JESUS and it was love that raised One day Jesus found Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. When Mary and Martha saw Jesus they said, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask." Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again… I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies…. Jesus saw Martha weeping and when he saw where they laid Lazarus He wept." (John 11:17-26, 35) Our Lord is able to overcome death, judgment and hell by His great love!

The ultimate love for mankind was this that JESUS loved us enough to die for us!  It was his love for mankind that made the sacrifice that gave us the eternal gift of salvation. Jesus expressed his love in his sacrifice, his wisdom, his grace, his salvation and in his presence. Ohh what a wonderful love!

Who is this JESUS?  Most importantly, who do you think he is? Is he a man, a Jew, a teacher, may be a philosopher or is He GOD? Whatever people say that he is or was while on earth, we know that He was and is much more than that individual or group perceptions. So what does the Bible say about who JESUS is? The Bible states that JESUS as an individual was his own person with a divine purpose. He wasn’t just someone spiritual during His time on earth; He was both God’s Son and God Himself. God became flesh and dwelt on earth,1 Timothy 3:16. It’s simple, JESUS was fully man but He was also fully God -Colossians 2:9.

Jesus performed miracles such as raising people from the dead and he forgave sins, both of which only GOD can do. HE did all of this with the power and might of the Holy Spirit. For some of us it is difficult to comprehend the truth of such facts but then again we understand that GOD is almighty.

HE also said that he had the authority to judge the nations in Matthew 25:31-46. Further, Jesus says He has the power to answer prayers (John 14:13-14), and that He will be with His followers always (Matthew 28:20). The New Testament equates Jesus to the creator of the universe (John 1:3), and in John 16:15, He says, “All that belongs to the Father is mine.”

Saying and claiming is one thing but where’s the evidence? Anybody could say that they were GOD but what would make it to be true? Where’s the evidence that He is God? JESUS didn’t just talk, he walked the talk. Not just lip service but a whole lot of action. He left a lot of evidence while he was functioning on earth.

It was prophesied about Him, prophets of the old, had written it down long before the arrival of JESUS, about who HE is and what he would accomplish. His disciples and other onlookers documented evidences of all those prophesies taking place and of the miracles and wonders that JESUS did while he was on earth.

The most evident difference between JESUS and the rest of the world is SIN. Man is incapable of not sinning, we are prone to sin.  All men sin but JESUS, he lived a sinless life. GOD’s WORD states in the book of Hebrews 4:15, for we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

JESUS is divine. It was His resurrection from the dead after His death on the cross that proved it. No one else has ever risen from the dead on his own.

The good news is that Jesus told us He is God in many different ways! He has made it clear that He and God the Father are one in the book of  John 10:30 and says in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” Who else could claim these things except God? Someone telling us that they themselves are God, would make us laugh and probably mock them. Similarly JESUS telling them directly would have got the same reaction.

JESUS was not born of the flesh, he was born by the Spirit of GOD through a virgin Mary. Luke was a medical doctor, he had a pretty clear understanding of how these things worked and while he did account and record all of these, he accepted that JESUS was not born out of sexual activity. GOD didn’t need man to be birthed!

Men can argue, but the truth prevails! JESUS is experienced today as well! He’s in the heart of man and Salvation is only through JESUS, no other. Oh good GOD, yes HE is JESUS!

Thine hands have made me, Job 10:8.
GOD took the time to make you! How special do you feel now?  I’m guessing, pretty special. You are part of something greater, grander and explicit! If you haven’t thought about it earlier, I think you should. Just take it all in, embrace the fact that your maker, who made you is maker and creator of all that was, is and will be existing! In fact, this is something that you need to feed on daily, it will help you to come to the full potential of who GOD made you to be! A whole, happy and content person. To feed on GOD’s love and an understanding that he’s your maker is to enable yourself to walk in love, power and faith.

Firstly let’s understand who is our maker and creator and how did it come about. All things were created through Christ! You were created by GOD through his son JESUS, our saviour! GOD’s word says in the book of John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men” John 1:1-4.  Who was with GOD, who was in the beginning, who is it that through whom all things were created? It is JESUS! Further on the Bible says in the book of Genesis, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth …” This one commences with: “In the beginning was the Word …” as well.  As we link this, it is not a coincidence, these are facts here that we get to understand is that GOD made all things through JESUS!

This makes us fall deeper in love with JESUS, knowing that he’s not just the son of GOD but also that we were made through Him. This is the same JESUS of Nazareth who was rejected, humiliated and crucified, who is the maker and creator of us! The book of Hebrews 1:2 states that GOD appointed JESUS heir of all things that were created and that the universe was made through him. You were not just made through JESUS, the WORD takes you a step ahead. You belong to JESUS! HE owns you! When we own something, we are possessive of it. Now smile, because your maker has you in his hands and there is no greater rest and protection than this. JESUS is your personal physical and spiritual guard. Who needs a celebrity status when you and I have a “belong to JESUS” status! Celebrities only have body guards, we have the master of the universe whose eyes are on us.

Enjoy this, that the cosmic creator birthed you and everything around you. You are not ordinary and nothing that you do is not noticed by your creator! You are in JESUS and JESUS is in you. The maker and creator of the universe resides in your heart! He brought to term GOD’s plan of salvation for you, so if you ever feel low or dejected and you think you’re measuring your self-worth in the standard of what the world has created, think of who you belong to.

Be a part of who you are! Ephesians 2: 6 says you are sons and daughters of GOD most high, JESUS paid the price for this sonship.  The person who you belong to has placed you in the heavenly places that HE is seated on. You are now royal. So what do you do? Simply, take your place! Enjoy GOD, Enjoy JESUS, your maker and creator!

Haven’t we always longed for a true friend? Each of us feel the need of that one person who we could share our heart out with and enjoy our time and resources. Somebody who we could always rely on and somebody who would understand us, our situation no matter what. Well we do have a friendship that is offered to us, a reliable one, where our friend is always there in our need and so is our friend indeed. GOD is our friend, Yes indeed He is. Seems far-fetched but its true!

We are privileged to have friendship with GOD, we are made for friendship with our FATHER. To have an intimate relationship with Him is one of our greatest joys! To experience his friendship is a joyride that helps us to get to know Him from GOD our master to GOD our friend. GOD’s WORD encourages us to accept JESUS not just as our redeemer and saviour but also our friend.
No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you” (John 15:15). This honour that has been bestowed upon us as transcended from a journey of Christ as our Master to Christ our friend. This is the privilege that we have that JESUS has called us friends. To be called his servant is beautiful, but to be called his friend is overwhelming. GOD’s WORD says that JESUS calls us friends.

We do expect for our friends to prove themselves to us, we don’t just make friends and call them like family for nothing. JESUS gave us the greatest proof of all, he proved it on the cross. He said, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). To look at his sacrifice, to understand the depth of what he did for us will bring us to an understanding of how faithful a friend he really has been, his compassion for us and that he is irreplaceable as a friend. To save his friends, he went through the circle of fire, to save his friends he paid their debts. How beautiful is the heart of JESUS that he died for his friends!
We love and honour His friendship, we do not take Him or his sacrifice casually. We want to always love and adore this friend we have in JESUS, we want to magnify his finished work. We want to acknowledge his acceptance of us, despite of us being undeserving. We want to always be grateful for his grace! We now enjoy his affection and authority.

He knows us better than we know ourselves, and he loves us more deeply than anyone else ever could. We are closer to his heart than anyone has ever been to ours.

So let’s water our friendship through communion. A medium where we experience Him and everything that he has done. In that very medium lies so much. A welcoming, a conversation, a relationship, a developing ongoing love, an understanding and an acceptance.

Ohh what a friend we have in JESUS, always lifting our spirits, never a dull moment with HIM. If we are drawn in the failures of this world, he strengthens us and turns our sorrows into joys! His love is not conditional and HE’s the friend who’s there till the very end!

JESUS CHRIST was sacrificed for US! Yes, you and I and all the generations that existed, exist and are to come! Our lives reflect the reality of a sacrificial death on our behalf. God died for us. We were lost and GOD had to make a sacrifice to get us back to himself, a very expensive sacrifice, that of his only son. GOD had to do it, sacrifice JESUS, because he loves you! Understand why he did it, GOD loves JESUS and in JESUS, you are!

In GOD’s WORD, Paul the apostle shares in Romans 5:8 that God, the maker of heaven and earth, the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, the only ruler, the King of all that exists, loves us, and to make it known sacrificed and planned the death of JESUS!

Do you see it? The love of our Father GOD and the price that was paid to gain back his creation. GOD’s WORD in John 3:16 clearly states, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son.” For it was love that motivated our Father, love for his Son and his creation to make such a bold move. Would any of us make such a sacrifice? Let reflect on this, to gain a better understanding of GOD’s love for us.

JESUS is Lord! Our GOD died for us, how beautiful is his love for us and he professes it in the WORD in John 15:13 when he told his disciples, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” What was said was also done, JESUS didn’t turn back, he did ask for strength from the Father to get the job done but GOD’s power in HIM was at action and got results. These results are evident on the cross.

The greatest love story of all is this, GOD loved us enough to sacrifice JESUS on the cross. This sacrifice was no temporary sacrifice, it has an eternal effect, lasting for all ages to come. The cost that was paid, was far greater than the debt that had to be paid, the debt of our sins and that of the whole world.

A planned solution (the sacrifice) for an unsuspecting, undeserving people (the world) at an unfathomable and unmatched cost (JESUS).  A fireworks of colourful crackers has the most beautiful display in the sky. The effects are pleasurable, they give us joy to see all the sparkles lighting up the firmaments and all this is just for a few moments. There’s been a display over two thousand years ago, the display for GOD’s unconditional love, his glory, his majesty, his boldness and his purpose.

Our supreme GOD and his mysterious ways, who can understand? His love in the death of Christ should overwhelm us, make us get down on our knees and worship him. What GOD did on that hill in Jerusalem sacrificing JESUS on that cross should make us realise that there is no greater love. We ask GOD to help us get a deeper understanding of this love, help us to get deeper into HIS WORD and help us to proclaim it!

Jesus not only came to bring hope. He is our hope.

Life is good when are eyes are fixed on our good GOD. JESUS CHRIST is our good tidings in every season of our lives. He does nothing but good to us. We hope in Him all the time is because we have an assurance in our hearts and we dwell on his promises. JESUS transforms us into his likeness, He makes us just like him. Despite of our circumstances we know that all things will work out for our good despite of hurdles thrown at us. Every step of the way we are expectant of our Saviours guidance and favour.

Sometimes there is knocking discontentment, probably because of material possessions or personal failures but there is that Joy in JESUS that dispels it all. GOD’s WORD is the treasure chest of all the hope that the world needs, we need to learn how to enjoy the treasure.
How often do we crave to follow the world and indulge into the things of the world, but it is the world that is deficient of Hope. No matter how much materialist pleasures or personal successes they possess their lives are empty, filled with void.  Abuse, addiction, illness, and broken relationships surround the world.

JESUS is the hope that the world needs, a hope that is alive and not dead. A hope that sustains not disappoints. Those who hope in Christ will be rewarded. If Christ is your salvation, you can have hope no matter how difficult your circumstances.

The person of JESUS is who we put our hope in, the person who we truly believe is the Son of GOD, if JESUS is not the person who he claims to be then we have put our hope in vain. The WORD of GOD says that he is God’s “salvation” in the book of Luke (2:30), “a light of revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel” (2:32). He “is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel” (2:34). This was no ordinary person who birthed our hope!

As we develop ourselves to trust and delight in GOD and his Word, he will bless us with the desires of our hearts. GOD is good and so he will always have good plans for our lives and prosper our ways, subject to our hearts desires being pure and as per his good and holy will. He is a loving Father to us, of course a Father always wants to bless his children and fulfil all demands that he thinks won’t hurt them.

We need to live in expectation from our GOD, always hoping in GOD. Holy Spirit is with us to always help us walk in the power that rests in the Salvation of JESUS! Not to worry and definitely not to worry! Wait upon GOD and hope in his love! People of hope live expectantly, waiting on God to fulfil His promises.

I want to encourage you today that no matter what your circumstances, you’re hurdles, disappointments, challenges you are facing, hope in JESUS! Whether you’re suffering from a deadly disease or grieving over the loss of a loved one or facing overwhelming trials of some other nature, you can have hope if you will trust in Jesus Christ as God’s salvation for you. JESUS is victorious both over sin and death, the devil and hell.  For us that hope in JESUS, we will not be disappointed!

My dear,  I decided to follow Jesus too at a very young age.

“I Am the Resurrection and the Life. Anyone who believes in Me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in Me and believes in Me will never ever die…” (John 11:25, 26).
This is the existent timeless fact of JESUS CHRIST our Lord that being the source of all life, he being GOD became man and bought us life and life in all its abundance. HE was, HE is and HE is to come! He’s the ultimate source of eternal life and has from the beginning of time been the creator. This is the foundation of all truth, he is the one who holds all creation together.
It is when we believe in the source of all life, it is when we receive Him in our hearts as Lord and Saviour, and we receive life in all its abundance. This abundant life is not temporary, its joy does not just last temporarily but the joy of salvation is eternal and forever. When we accept JESUS, we have a blessed assurance which we are overtaken by, we experience unfathomable peace in our hearts and a release from our past.

JESUS CHRIST, is the bread of life. To eat this bread means to accept Him, Live in his promises and enjoy the benefits of its nourishment. This nourishment is not just a physical one but one that has a lasting eternal effect, a spiritual one. JESUS speaks about many promises in regards to Him being the bread of life and how consuming the bread would always be our source of strength! Our sin is the source of all our grief and failure and JESUS’s life and resurrection has washed it all away, he gives us the power to follow him and walk in victory!

"As the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself" (ver. 26). JESUS’ ministry was all about the display of life that He is the source of. Everywhere JESUS went death couldn’t withstand his presence, he raised the dead and healed the sick. Wherever there was threat to life, his power overcame. We see this in the daughter of Jairus, the widow's son of Nain, and the beloved Lazarus.

The resurrection life of JESUS was not limited to physical aspects, the WORD says that he who possess eternal life has passed from death to life. What does this mean? It implies that now we have a better mentality, our conscious accepts GOD as our Father and that we are his beloved adopted children through Christ. Death no longer has hold over us because we understand that we are eternal beings and our heavenly home is where we are ultimately headed to.

A gentle reminder: We now have eternal life is not because of what we have done or what we deserve to get. For what we deserve is death but we have a divine gift — "the gift of God is eternal life." We have nothing to boast about other than this, that we boast in the Lord. The free gift is of grace has given us this life. The Son quickens whom He will. He grants us life and this life of which He is, was and will be the ultimate source of.

Matthew 23:10 – “you have one teacher, the Christ.”
JESUS clearly tells us that he is the only teacher. What do we understand by this? There are two things that we need to specifically pinpoint. God’s will for our lives is determined by JESUS’s authority. The second notification we need to do is that we are in this world and there needs to be applicability of wisdom that comes from JESUS and he teaches how to live and deliver in this world.

So what is it that we need to do?
We need to make JESUS our role model:  Jesus said – “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me” – Matthew 11:29. Jesus’ life is the pattern for our lives. Jesus as our teacher gives us many examples of how our lives should be lead. Be it living humbly or how we should be serving GOD our FATHER. Putting aside worldly desires or not giving heed to our pride, not having a lust for flesh or for possessions of the world, JESUS leads as example.

We are to obey Jesus’ teaching. Jesus asked, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?” – Luke 6:46. Can you hear the confusion in this? If I’m your Lord, why don’t you listen to me?? Something is wrong here. These things don’t add up. If you claim Jesus as Lord then you must obey him. Jesus also said, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments” – John 14:15. If we claim to love JESUS as our Lord, we have to obey him and if we are disobedient we don’t really love him, it’s just lip service. No matter what your feelings about Jesus might be. In both of these verses it is clear that Jesus demands that we obey him.

We need to learn what Jesus teach us. Jesus became human in order to show us the way. Yet we put so little effort into understanding what he showed us. We need to work hard to understand what Jesus teaches for our own lives and for other’s. Jesus is our teacher – Jesus is the revelation of God. Practicing what JESUS has taught us is trivial to our living.
He is given us solutions for practical living
He has given us all we need to know about how to walk in obedience and find peace in time of need.

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, - Mathew 28:19
JESUS CHRIST gave us a commission to not just spread the good news to the lost and needy, yes, it is of grave importance that the gospel be preached and people know about the Salvation of JESUS CHRIST, which is a free gift to the world. There is also an additional responsibility of all believers who have received this salvation to be continually learning of Him and to be teachers as we grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the WORD! Our Christian lives do not stop at just proclaiming the gospel, it is to be studied, implied and taught. Our teacher JESUS implies that we follow his path and become teacher’s ourselves.

God’s love for us is eternal. It has no reliability on time, GOD does not change and so his love is constant all the time. God is eternal and so is his love both of which are not subject to the limitation of time. GOD supersedes time, since HE is the creator. GOD is self-existent, HE is the beginning and the end, GOD is eternally existent.

From the beginning of time, GOD knew the fall of man and so devised a plan of redemption. GOD is three in one and he is triune, so the plan of redemption was a decision of a triune person!

God gave His only begotten Son because He loves the world - John 3:16
So what was it that motivated GOD to make such a decision? A decision of sacrifice of his loved one for us. Why did GOD had to devise such a plan? Why did he have to save creation?

Well, it’s because we belong to HIM! We belong to JESUS CHRIST, who redeemed us with the sacrifice of himself! GOD loves JESUS and we belong to JESUS. GOD decided to adopt us as his own and in love He chose us in the Son for adoption as sons of the Father - Eph. 1:3–6. GOD’s love for us is in JESUS his son.

We are now joint heirs with Christ, children of the Father, adopted into the royal family. JESUS CHRIST, the eternal object of the Father’s affection, and we are the GOD’s gift to JESUS, his son.

Gentle reminder: We have eternal life in JESUS, death has no hold over us! We live for ever dwelling in the unconditional love of our FATHER!

Everything in life doesn’t go the way we have planned it, well somethings will and something won’t. And when it doesn’t go our way, they may go out of control and we feel like there’s absolutely nothing that we can do, it’s out of our hands. There’s no direction, there’s no guidance, we are left alone on pathways and choices seem difficult to make. It seems difficult to trust GOD but as we take that small step of faith, GOD will comfort us! We have Peace and will drive away our fears and guide us in the direction we seek. “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, ‘This is the way you should go,’ whether to the right or to the left,” (Isaiah 30:21).

There are examples in the Bible that help us to push us into faith and to trust the Lord GOD in times of testing. The future to us is unknown, and our loving Father asks us to trust Him with our lives. GOD is good and so are his promises. Trusting Him and his promises gives us hope for a better future.

This is the promise, for those who are saved, in the name of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, all things will work out for good. There may be challenging circumstances but we know that our GOD is able, he’s a GOD of action and therefore the end of the story is “Good”.

We will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Our generation and the one’s to come will enjoy the benefits of the Salvation of the Lord! Nothing, absolutely nothing is a waste, even if we endure for the sake of Christ, we know the rewards we await in our eternal life. Life doesn’t end on this planet!

GOD’s WORD says “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Trusting GOD is the sweetest experience to have. Our story is a super hit, we may have a climax, it may look like a difficult ending but after all our FATHER is our hero!

Peace is what we need in a continuum sense. Without it, life is tasteless and filled with negatives that we keep fighting with. The WORD of GOD declares JESUS CHRIST as the Prince of Peace.

Why specifically Prince?  A prince needs to be under the command of his father, the king. JESUS was sent by our FATHER GOD. He was in obedience to the FATHER. JESUS was obedient unto death and it is his death that has bought us this Peace. The Peace that we receive from JESUS, is that one that surpasses every understanding.

Thus, His role as Prince of Peace is directly tied to His role as Saviour, accomplishing the task for which His Father sent Him into our world.

Only JESUS CHRIST brings us real peace, no other!

Romans 5:1 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

As we believe in JESUS we understand that JESUS reconciled our relationship with our FATHER. Our sins drove us away from GOD but JESUS paid the debt and settled it once and for all. Now, we are at Peace with GOD!

In John 16:33, Jesus tells us that we have Peace in all circumstances, even in tribulations because he overcame the world. We can now face any circumstance with the Peace that comes from Christ our Lord. Anxieties, doubts, fears, and restlessness are overcome with Peace.
Knowing that Christ is our peace, let us entrust our lives to Him. Let us surrender our burdens to Jesus! As we have experienced JESUS, we also have the grace to experience His perfect peace that guards our hearts and minds. Peace in our families, at our workplace, in our finances and in every dominating part of our lives! Peace for today, tomorrow and eternity!

A gentle reminder: How do we have this Peace? We fix our eyes on JESUS, on his WORD, on his Promises and it is how we have Peace.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6

There is only one way, one option and one plan to eternal life and his name is JESUS CHRIST! There is no other. No matter what the world claims and how many faiths and religions there are, the Bible is very clear. GOD’s WORD clearly states this in Scripture where JESUS said that he is the only way! When Jesus died and rose from the dead, he had proved his statements to be legitimate. He had said it prior to his death.

JESUS made it pretty clear and he was confident about everything he claimed. He died for us sinners and bought us eternal life, which is impossible for us to attain with our strengths. He died, he rose again, he conquered death and it is through HIM alone we have salvation which is eternal life.

No other has ever claimed what our saviour JESUS has. While JESUS was alive, he was sinless, unlike us. No matter how hard we tried we could never be sinless on our own. While we were sinners, he gave us eternal life, it is undeserving on our path but GOD loves us.

Understand this: We have received JESUS, our source of eternal life, as a free gift from GOD our FATHER.

What You Respect, You Will Attract. Never become cocky. In the book of Job he says, “If I could find God, I would argue with Him.” My mother always told me as long as you have that attitude God will not be accessible. “Oh that I knew where I might find Him! That I might come even to His seat! I would order my cause before Him, and fill my mouth with arguments,” (Job 23:3-4). Acknowledge that you do not know everything. Admit you do not always know how to pray effectively through your own logic and Mind. “Lord, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt prepare their heart, Thou wilt cause Thine ear to hear,” (Psalm 10:17). It is important to avoid any criticism of those who carry the anointing of The Holy Spirit. “Touch not Mine anointed, and do My prophets no harm,” (Psalm 105:15). It is a dangerous thing to treat lightly that supernatural Anointing. “A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit,” (Proverbs 29:23).

The Holy Spirit chooses the person He anoints. Men do not choose that anointing. Treasure the moment The Holy Spirit anoints and does something specific and unique through you. Humbly thank Him for the privilege of being used to bring healing to the broken. “Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of Heaven,” (Matthew 18:4). The greatest warfare of your life is The Holy Spirit versus your flesh and self. “For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would,” (Galatians 5:17). 40 You will stand before God and give an account for every response you have made to the inner voice of The Holy Spirit. “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God,” (Romans 14:12). It is a dangerous moment to think that access to God is permanent and easy. “If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land,” (2 Chronicles 7:14). Jesus showed humility. “But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men,” (Philippians 2:7). Never Take His Presence Lightly. Humility Is Necessary In Entering His Presence.

One morning right after I got up, The Lord began to deal with me on this issue what I call “The Hard-core message of Christ, and I really needed it. The Lord said,” Did you know, when you carry offence in you against anyone it actually causes you to step out of your Fence-Zone where the enemy has an easy approach to you? I literally began to shiver and got caught up in awareness that how I am become the easy target for the destroyer. You may ask, can the devil destroy Christians? He certainly does, look around you in Christian circle. He robs them of their position, power and prerogatives.

The Supernatural fence God has given us is “AGAPE” which in English means LOVE, the God kind of Love. Jeremiah the Prophet has prophesied about the New-Covenant in 31: 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Notice Prophet Jeremiah talks about God putting His LAW within our hearts. John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. Some translations say, “New LAW. A Law of LOVE. Just like any other natural law or civil law can’t be violated, the LAW of Love also can’t be breached.

You see, both the covenants were given to live by and the Lord’s priority for both the covenants is to bless His people with health, wealth and a strong legacy. I will never forget what Dr Mike Murdock once said, “The Gospel is in two part 1. Person of Jesus 2. The principles of Jesus. We cannot get away from doing what He has asked us to do since it is The Law. The Most important part of any covenant is that both participants must submit to each other if they want to draw benefit out of their relationship. In the old covenant Exodus 23: 25- 32 there are about 9 things I could notice the Lord will do for the one who obeys God’s Law and worships Him in the Old covenant but we have a better covenant. Please do read in your own bible.
1) Your bread and water will be blessed 2) No sickness 3) No miscarriage 4) No one will be barren 5) Long life  6) Terror of the Lord will go before you 7) Enemies will run away 8) Supernatural increase will come 9) God will establish you. All these blessing are promised under old Law and God who gave old has not weakened in the New Law. He has asked us to walk in God kind of Love where there is no place for offence and bitterness. Offence kills vision, brings confusion, makes people sick and keeps people from flowing with Grace. Love, Kindness and goodness aren’t the weak side of any person but it shows that how strong they are because bible’s hard-core message is to LOVE without any condition. To prophecy is very easy, healing is children’s bread and miracles are given to us by default but to LOVE is your decision if you are really convinced that you can’t ignore to submit to the New Covenant. This life is beautiful and the Lord almighty wants us to draw maximum benefit out our relation with Him in this life and Live for Him.

1 John 4:7 Says, “One who walks in Love knows God and on the contrary one who doesn’t walk in Love doesn’t know God. It talks about knowing God not believing in God, many believe in Him but don’t have any idea who God is in real. Knowing God leads to an intimate relationship with Him where Faith is not an issue, there you don’t struggle to obey God. Recently, I have taught a liberating teaching on God’s Love for almost 3 weeks in our ministry. I can share more on Love because this is a wonderful and classic way to victory.

When you put Love in front, you actually put God in the first place because God is LOVE.

                                                    Serving God, Serving People

It was very soon after I was a believer when I understood, I can’t serve God and keep no business with people. It is so amazing that God picks us up from among people, Anoints and sends us back to people with His Anointing to serve. Exodus 3, God calls Moses to the burning bush and later Exodus 19 to the mountain when God spent time with Moses and then sends him back to people to serve Him by serving people. Matthew 4:19, Jesus invited Peter to follow Him and then John 21 Jesus sends Apostle Peter back to serve His people.

I believe, we can’t separate God and people. Where people are God must be right there. Many can bring very good revelations from Matthew 14 where Jesus fed 5000 plus people. When I look at this portion, I see God’s compassionate presence among people and in verse 16 Jesus said, “They do not need to go away. This verse shows me God’s heart towards people because He loves them all doesn’t matter where they come from. Jesus talked about serving God, serving one another and serving mammon (money). However, Serving God and serving people is inseparable. Right after you become a believer, He makes you a witness for His sweet presence and then Mark 16 we read He sends signs, wonders and miracles with His witnesses.

You may ask, “Witness? What does that mean? Acts 1:8 talks about God making us witnesses unto Him or for Him. The simplest way to understand, if people can’t see who God is, they will see you and know God is alive. Hallelujah! Praise God! What a privilege to serve God. Someone may ask, why God needs to make me a witnesses, why can’t He do it Himself. See, you have grown up from your childhood among your people not God, they don’t know this Creator of heaven and earth who is now your Father God. They can’t see God Himself but will see manifested Sons and Daughters who carry God’s heart among people. You see, if we understand that being with God is about serving people then it will also help us to serve our families better through God. I used to say, if every family raises children who love to serve God, our nations will live in peace. Every night before I sleep, I am convicted by the Holy Spirit for my purpose for my family and how I have to surround my family with Love and Faith.

Psalms 17:8 and Zechariah 2:8, talks about we being the Apple of God’s eye. Apple of my eye refers to the pupil of the eye. I used to think, these verses talk about the kind of security God has provided for me that none can touch and it's true. However, there is another side of this part. The work of pupil of an eye is to see. If I am the Pupil of God’s eye then He must be seeing the World through me, isn’t? Beloved! God needs you to serve Him by serving your family, your world around and make this world a place of God’s habitation.                                *******                                              copyright@2020

Hebrew 13:2 is an amazing scriptural truth which I have personally experienced on several occasions. I am lead to write it and share with God’s children where I am celebrated and accepted as a messenger of the Good News. The reason I want to share it is because when hands of man seem to fail God’s hand and His functions do not stop, He remains a very Present help in the times of Need, Psalm 46:1, another translation says, “always ready to help in times of trouble.

Hebrew 13:2 says, “Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. The last part of the verse says that some of us have met angels without knowing that it was God’s intervention for that time. Now notice, why you were not able to recognize the angels when they showed up is because they didn’t dress-up as angels and if they did you would know that it was some unusual being around you and the Bible has many recorded accounts of Angelic appearances but people did not recognise those experiences because of fear.

However, Hebrews 13:2 says “we met angels but didn’t come to know! They came to us for God ordained reasons in a way we won’t feel troubled, they came looking like human beings. I had to discover this fact after I had been through these marvellous experiences personally on several occasions. Genesis 18:2 Abraham saw 3 men but they were Angels in real. Genesis 19, Abraham’s Nephew Lot also met Angels and serves them as guests without realizing they were Angels. Genesis 32:22-31 Jacob has a blessed moment but only later did he realize it was God’s Visitation.

Why Angels?

We see that the Bible doesn’t promise us a particular way of Angels coming to us but there is a promise of their assistance, Hallelujah! Blessed be the name of Jesus!  Heb 1:14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? It says, Angels are ministering spirits sent or commissioned to serve and in Greek the word serve literally means to serve as a servant. You may say, what makes me so special that Angels are being servants for me? The verse says, “To serve those who inherit salvation. Hallelujah! Your life in Jesus makes you so special for such powerful assistance. The Bible has recorded an account of Angels being messengers, protectors, healers, helpers and comforters.
Do I have an Angel with me?

If you are a believer then you definitely have a Guardian Angel for you. You may not see them but you will see their works in action. Many people are not aware of this truth, they are believers but nobody has taught them this truth. Once you know the fact from the Word, you can be rest assured that the Lord goes before you with His Angel to guard you always.
I can never forget my personal experiences. It was summer in Punjab and I was a fresher in Ministry in 2009 but my faith was strong in God and I had decided to go for ministry instead of my appointment in the Army (Territorial Army). I was working under a church in one the cities and my situation was not less than a beggar on the road. No food, no better clothes, not even a place to sleep at night. I mean they told me sleep in the church hall where it was extremely disturbing. They had promised me everything but didn’t care to fulfil them at all. I wanted to leave that church but the lord kept on speaking to my heart that He has a purpose for me and I must stay little longer (Many youths came to the lord through what I was doing there). One day I was heading to my hometown in a government bus to meet family for few days because they stayed about 200 kilometres away. As I travelled, I gave a missed call to my very first pastor who baptized my mom and spoke to him about my current situation and he only heard my plight but was of no help.

As I sat there, I was crying within me but tears were there and my head was down. Suddenly, I felt a hand on my right shoulder and this person whispered in my ears that don’t be troubled, The Lord has called you for His purpose and He will take care of you and Anoint you for works a man can’t do in his own strength. Firstly, I felt good to hear those words then I realized what had happened, it was astonishing that it was a stranger (Heb 13:2) speaking to me, How did this person know about me? I gathered myself and I saw this woman getting down the bus. I rushed to speak with her and desperately seeking to know who she was, I got down the bus as well. I looked everywhere for her but there was nobody. She had disappeared in just 2 seconds.

Another incident happened when I have been to the city of Bangalore to minister. According to my friends there were just three people who had come to receive me but I had met four and the fourth person who was missing later was the one who spoke blessings over me. When I reached my accommodation, I found the outgrowth on flesh in my foot was healed, no flesh hanging, no blood and no scar. Before travelling to Bangalore, a doctor at my town had told me to go through a surgery which would put me in bed for about three weeks but I bluntly said, no! God will heal and I was travelling for ministry almost a month continually without going home.

I assure you from God’s Word that His Angelic assistance is with you 24/7. Begin to see yourself as an Inheritor of Salvation and God is on your side with His Angels.                                                                                               copright@2020

As you read this, your patience for reading the whole thing will determine if you want to see the difference between ROCK and SAND or no. The key is “paying attention”.

Matthew 7:24 begins with “Therefore whoever, He didn’t say all. You see, Jesus Prophesied the Result. Only IF you pick up with your patience, to attend to what needs to minister to you, will bless you. Jesus gave a wonderful Parable on what kind of a house will stay Victorious all through what must come, I didn’t say will become victorious but Stay Victorious. Many of us want to do anything to be victorious in the midst of the turmoil and especially when your house is built on the sand. In fact, a person loses more while trying to run around during the Storms. It’s Pre and Post is what matters. However, Jesus talked to us about the PRE part of the storm and it won’t kill you.

Verse 24, Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, 1. Hearing 2. Doing. Many people will say, well, Jesus said, “sayings of Mine, which means He was talking to people of those days. Did you know, the word SAYINGS is the same word mentioned in John 1:1, In the beginning was the WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. SAYINGS and WORD in Greek is Logos which means the written Word of God, The Bible. There is no exception from following the Living Word. What you must Hear or attend to and do, is the Word of God.  Jesus said, v: 24 I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:  Jesus says, “I see that person as wise one”.

Last part of verse 24 talks about building a house. This is not the house of Bricks and stones although, all of the material will manifest but it all begins in your mind. The scripture is talking about building your life upon a strong mind set which can’t be defeated and that mind-set has to be Petra, The Word of God. Someone said, “You can jail my body but not my mind. It takes process to have a Petra Mind-set. Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. The Greek word for wisdom is Sophia which means, INSIGHT this is a degree of personal illumination about a matter. Now you begin to see things differently, People see lack and you say "there must be a way out of it. Insight is not the end, just having insight doesn’t solve the problems. Jesus Himself didn’t stop there at Sophia. Everything in the Kingdom begins with an Insight. It’s like a blueprint.

Verse 52, Jesus increased in Wisdom (Sophia), He increased in seeing things differently, and He increased in His insight capacity. But the Greek word for wise man in Matthew 7:24 is phronimō and word phronesis is another word for wisdom but there you begin to put Sophia (Insight) into practice, so phronesis is Practical wisdom. When you begin your practice you become phronimō a wise man of Jesus from Matthew 7:24.

Matthew 7:24 Jesus said, “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them. You see, the process of increasing in Sophia the different insight for any matter begins with Logos the Written Word of God. The Word alone stands contrary to the system of the world, the lies, corruption and deadness of the world system. The Word will give you the Insight of Life during death, Abundance during lack, healing during sickness, strength when weakness is around, Success when they talk of how your three generations have failed and Faith when fear shows up in the face. God’s Word is SOPHIA a different perspective and we must grow in it like Jesus did. Matthew 7:24 talks about doing what is written in the Word to build for yourself a Mind-set which can’t be defeated.

Saints, anything built upon the Word of God can’t be overcome by this World. You and I are not the Rock but God’s Word is the Rock where we build our lives, Families, Work, Business, ministry and our beautiful Nations. You may say, “Brother you are asking me to do the Word? Isn’t Grace working on my behalf? Listen, Grace will work THROUGH you and we must attend to the Word of God because we don’t have any option since everything else is but Sand.

Like the parched dry lands of Kutch in the state of Gujarat, is where we have all started off our Journey with the Lord! We were in wanting and in an ongoing search that was felt like it would never end. Struggling with circumstances hitting us like the waves of the sea hit the sands of the shore. A disturbed mind here and a broken heart there and somewhere in between a body fighting the unknown. Then again, one day GOD's saving grace overcomes, victorious and engulfs us! We declare and proclaim Jesus Christ our saviour and Lord, we are excited and bubbling with new found Joy that we have never experienced before, the parched lands are being watered and developing to be fertile. But as we are walking on this journey with the Lord Jesus Christ, we have experiences that while dwelling in the world we endure.

This is only to encourage our newly found, ever developing found selves in the Lord Jesus, we need to but Yearn for HIM. Everyday is a new walk and new route that we embark upon with the Holy Spirit leading. We rise up with grateful hearts to a new day, do we? It is the yearning, the thirst. To grow closer to GOD and to live a life of Christ centeredness is what the thirst in us will spring. To live in the presence of GOD, who's leading is greater than the pleasures that life can offer is an ecstacy we do not want to fall out of. Thirst for the WORD will bring the liking of WORD within our hearts and onto our tongues. The troubles of the world we now defeat with the confession of the Word of GOD from our mouth, are the very troubles that JESUS has overcome and therefore we are overcomers.

The battles of the ages not having been significantly changing, the concerns and its changing faces have new names, for example the corona virus that the world in today's times is facing. These are attacks by the enemy that want to turn this beautiful home we live in, into a continual state of dryness. Threats are being experienced at an individual level and it is only the power of GOD that resides within us helps our minds to be dwelling in constant peace. This  thirst for GOD, the ongoing continuous yearning for him twines us into fellowship with our creator King. What could withstand such a fellowship?

It is a thirst that is watering harvest lands, God's water source has no bottom to it, it is one from which we can draw all the time and anytime. This source is open for all with no restrictions! A water source that we have a choice to be drawn towards. A choice to travel to the source and to spend time in it is something that is left to our free will.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these. things shall be added unto you - Mathew 6:33. This verse here reminds us of the beauty of yearning and thirsting for the Lord! It's an effortless happening! Yes, added unto us.  As we are continually drawn to the love that has redeemed us from our wretchedness and that of the World, everything that we need to survive, thrive, abound in and indulge in as well, all of it will be given to us. It's magnetic and it is something for us to enjoy, like people say, a big benefit. But as we know it is His sufficient Grace.

As we have received from the giver of Life, unconditional love, the realisation of that love continually churns our souls to yearn more, to thirst more! GOD loves us and in this we rest! We praise Him and glorify Him, we are in gratitude always! For our thirst is pleasure to Him! For the Word says, He dwells on the praises of His people.

As we read the Word and dwell in it, His presence gets more real to us each day! Regardless of our feelings, He's there! It only is a ladder to climb, to look up to Him, to look up to Love is the water we cannot get enough of. It's taste gets sweeter and you stay Thirsty!

by आशीष इनोक - "जयवन्तो से बढ़कर " on June 18th, 2020
